International Forensic Expertise Worldwide
In the 21st century, the successful delivery of criminal justice is increasingly dependent on science and technology. As a leader in its field, The Forensic Science Service® (FSS)®, in partnership with law enforcement agencies both in the UK and overseas, plays a vital role in combating criminal activity worldwide.
As the first organisation in the world to develop a national criminal DNA database, the FSS can share its experience and knowledge with other countries looking to do the same and through a range of DNA software and consultancy.
The FSS is an internationally renowned centre of excellence for casework, research, training and consultancy and has assisted over 60 countries in the field of forensic science. The FSS is also an active member of the European Network of Forensic Science Institutes (ENFSI) and its various working groups. ENFSI's role is to promote good practice and co-operation between the forensic laboratories from 32 European countries.
